  • Eligibility Rules
    • Enrollment Status: Players must be currently enrolled and in academic
good standing as either a (a) full-time student, or (b) part time student that
is in their last year of enrollment.
    • Eligible LoL Account: Players must have a League of Legends account in good standing and eligible for ranked games in order to compete. The same account must be used throughout the entire competition.
    • Rank: Players must be above GOLD V in order to apply to be on a team. This is to ensure a fair playing field and enjoyable games.
    • Team Position: All means must be comprised of 5 players with one player being the designated team captain.
  • Teams
    • Draft: The team draft will follow a snake format. Each captain will pick a number, and then an order will be found. The first in the order will get first pick, while the last in the order will get two picks, snaking back up to the front. If a team captain picks a duo, their next pick will be skipped.
    • Discord: After the team is formed, all players will be added to a custom Discord channel.
    • Name: Once the team is formed, all teams must choose a team name that A. has not been used before, and B. not against any rules set forth by the University of Colorado Boulder. Team names submissions may be denied by club officials.
    • Logo: Once a name has been chosen, a logo must also be chosen. You are welcome to contact our Media team for help, but again, use something that A. has not been used before, and B. not against any rules set forth by the University of Colorado. Team logo submissions may be denied by club officials.
  • Substitutes
    • No teams will have assigned substitutes. After all teams are drafted, everyone else who signed up and said they would play as a substitute will be added to a custom Discord channel where if there is a substitute needed, Team Captains will contact them there. Team Captains can choose any substitute they like, but they may only choose one and report their chosen substitute to a club official AT LEAST one day before the scheduled game.
    • Substitutes must follow the same eligibility rules as above.
  • Gameplay
    • Lobby: Lobby will be created by a club official unless one has asked a player to create one. Allow the officials to fill up the spectator slots and then invite your team. Make sure you get into proper order BEFORE draft starts.
    • Lateness: Starting at the time when the game is supposed to start, after 10 minutes a team that is not ready will lose one ban. For every 5 minutes after the initial 10 minutes, the team will lose additional bans. If 30 minutes have passed and one team is not ready, that team will be allowed one last chance to find a substitute, they will however still not get any bans. If a sub is not available, there is no other choice but a forfeit.
    • Ready Check: Once your team is ready, please type ‘ready, r, ok’ or something along those lines to let officials know when your team is ready.
    • Start of Game: Once both teams are ready, officials will start the match and draft will begin.
    • Map Sides: Map sides are determined by the schedule. The first team on the name of the event, i.e. A vs B, will take blue side, while the second gets red side.
    • Pauses: A pause may be used in dire circumstances (like a disconnect, loss of power, cat on keyboard, etc) but please do not abuse this. Multiple pauses per game may lead to penalties. Any pause for an extended amount of time (15-30min) will result in a forfeit.
